The Match Brave QC V2 Pack seeks to recreate the sound of one of the rarest Matchless amps you’ve probably never played—the Matchless Brave. Think of it as a “Matchless Plexi”: a unique circuit that blends classic British crunch with Matchless signature sparkle and headroom.
We captured every variation we could get out of this special amp:
The Lo input offers massive headroom and crystal-clear, pure tone—perfect for huge 100-watt Plexi-style cleans or running your favorite pedal preamp / always-on overdrive. Captured with both Bright and Regular EQ settings.
We also ran an EF86 preamp through the Lo input to create a “Channel 2” option that doesn’t exist on the original amp. This gives you a Vox-like voice that still sits perfectly with the rest of the amp’s character.
The Hi Input is the star of the show, delivering the most recognizable Plexi-inspired tones while retaining that unmistakable Matchless high-end sparkle and chime.
From sparkling cleans to harmonically rich overdrive, the Match Brave V2 brings a rare and versatile British voice to your rig.

You’re going to love these tones…but I need a little help in getting them to you. Due to the nature of the QC and the Cortex Cloud app, we are currently unable to add captures to the QC via a USB from your computer but we can share them through the cloud. At checkout you will be asked for your QC User Name, we will add you on the app but in order to share the captures we need you to add us as well so make sure you are following Tone Junkie on the QC app!
