The 61 Pro Amp Pack from Tone Junkie seeks to recreate the sound of a 1961 Fender Pro Amp 1×15 Combo. This 6G5 circuit is a “transitional masterpiece and a Nashville studio favorite! It’s unique voice which features a more mid-forward, “stout” attack cuts thru the mix and when driven the tone is fat, creamy and more aggressive than later fender models. Its growl and bite have earned it the name “mini-marshall”. To my ear… it’s a perfect midpoint between a blackface fender and a growling tweed.
