The Tweed Drive Pack is two classic tweeds dialed in as one amp. The Hi channel is a '58 5E7 Bandmaster and the Lo channel is a '57 5E3 Deluxe, both running through an open-back 2x12 loaded with Eminence Texas Heats. Post-mic EQ ties them together so they feel like two channels of a single amp. The result is a modern, more usable tweed: warm, chewy, and touch-sensitive, without the flub and fizz that can make vintage tweeds hard to sit in a mix.
This rig solves a lot of the problems that keep players away from these classic amps. The Texas Heats hold on to character and definition as you push the drive, where the older alnico Jensens start to fall apart.
Lo brings the Deluxe's sweet, compressed breakup that cleans up with your guitar volume. Hi brings the Bandmaster's bigger headroom and a thicker, punchier drive when you dig in. If these two channels lived in one amp, it would be the best tweed ever wired up. It fits worship, rock, blues, and everything in between.
